The star midfielder Functioned in a forward position out wide and also put in dirty work. Demonstrated glimpses of brilliance and dragged a shot wide. Replaced in the closing stages for a teammate, his competition, after receiving a caution. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's clearest opportunity in the opening period, his shot smartly stopped by the Albanian keeper. With Quansah staying deep, he had to offer an outlet down the right side but his crosses into the box varied in quality. Substituted late in the match. 6

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his two more goals at international level. His first a classic poacher’s finish and his next a classy finish with his head following a clever run away from the opposition. At 32, his form is unwavering and England stand a real opportunity in future competitions when he's in the team. Eight

The attacker Found it tough to influence play from the left. Had a good opening when set up from a teammate but the keeper kept it out. Rashford made much more of effect in his place. Five
