Netflix Selects Perfect Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Season 3
Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, although the real showdown isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.
Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Mr. 2. Bon Clay has the ability to change into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their main hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character reimagined as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the live-action show, as in the original manga and cartoon version.
Escola joins several other fresh additions tasked with bringing the group to reality, featuring leader Mr. 0, brought to life by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the lineup as the monarch of Alabasta.
Although this character is a key figure of the organization, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Considering season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this represents a major departure in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.
Their mix of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
