As a unit, they have recorded some of the surprising successes, experienced some of the ugliest dismissals, achieved some of the surprising tons, and secured some of the most surprising exceptional bowling spells in the history of English cricket.

No matter how this prestigious tournament concludes, they have been, successively, incredible, preposterous, ridiculous, exasperating, and completely, unrepentantly, unashamedly enjoyable.
